COVID-19 RESPONSE MESSAGE

In March, at the bequest of the Bishop of the Mountain Sky Conference, we moved from in person worship and gatherings to online. We worship through zoom, resurrected our card ministry program, and host all of our committee meetings online as well as hosting some of the groups who used to meet within the building.

Our Wee Care has stayed open throughout the pandemic, serving as a resource for essential worker parents! What a fantastic community response and resource! Shout out to Diane Caffey for all of her hard work and crucial leadership during this time. With restrictions lifting, Wee Care is still operating with a higher number of children as their parents go back to work (or go back to work from their work places and not home). Teachers and staff are continuing to maintain precautions and safety guidelines to keep the building and classrooms healthy and safe.

We will continue meeting for online worship and meetings, prayer and study, and soon Confirmation ( starting July 19th!). You can email the church at fumc2005@gmail.com or Reverend Amber at reverend.arm@gmail.com for our zoom information. Feel free to tune in where you are. Come as you are, bed head or comfy pjs, you're welcome to join us if you're looking for a safe, social distance worship experience with a loving and inclusive community committed to social justice, transformation through God's grace at work in their lives, and growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Currently all meetings and gatherings are suspended until it is safe and responsible for us to gather again. Until then, most are happening via email or zoom, or redirected from the leaders of that group. Please email us at fumc2005@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns about any of our ministries or groups during the pandemic.

You can also stay more closely up to date through our email chain (let us know if you'd like updates),
or through our Facebook page (FUMC Alamosa) Thank you!
